Get to know me and my artistic journey

My journey as an artist began at age six with a secret. Too shy to share my work, my 1st grade teacher entered my shoebox diorama of an Arctic scene into a San Diego countywide contest on my behalf. To my surprise, I won my division out of 600 children.

Decades later, that same quiet hesitation remained, until September 2025. I gathered the courage to enter a juried show at The Herberger without telling a soul, and being selected has sparked a new era of confidence at age 62. Today, art is my life passion, along with my animals that fill my soul with happiness. Whether I am spending four hours a day illustrating, experimenting with mixed media, or crafting spiritual jewelry and custom apparel for a horse apparel store, my studio is my sanctuary.

Living among the wildlife of the Sonoran Desert, I draw endless inspiration from my 2 horses, the beauty pf the desert and wildlife. I love the rabbits, javelinas, lizards and bobcats that visit around me. I have a miniature horse that also owns my heart and together, we work with hospice and disabled adults and children. He is amazing.
I am over the moon that you stopped by to to visit my art space. I love creating commissioned art and look forward to sharing this joyful chapter of my creative life with you.
